Kathleen Sparks
Kathleen Durham Sparks, age 90, widow of Bob Sparks, died Saturday Jan. 21, 2017 at the Terrace Nursing Home in Berea. Kathleen was born in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Jesse Riddle and Macie Smith Durham. She lived most of her life in Jackson County, Kentucky where she and her late husband Bob, ran a Standard Oil Station for over 20 years, and she was also a member of the Glades Christian Church in Berea. Kathleen was also preceded in death by her sister Mabel Sandlin.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter Brenda Sparks Curry (Randall), her granddaughter Stephanie Curry Grinnell (Eric), and great grandson Danny Grinnell all of Richmond, KY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Lakes Funeral Home with Matt Vaught officiating, burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Eric Grinnell, Danny Grinnell, Randy Gabbard, Derek Gabbard, Brad Sandlin, and Thomas Hager. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 from 11 am – 2 pm at Lakes Funeral Home.
