Oscar Seals
Oscar Seals age 88, husband of the late Jewel Ward Seals, died Wednesday Aug. 31, 2016. Oscar was born in Rockcastle County to the late William and Ida Chasteen Seals; he was a charter member of the Middletown Baptist Church and had been a painter for many years at Berea College. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jewel, his daughter Connie Gale Seals, and his siblings: Onita Seals Rhodus, Monroe, Earnest and Bluford Seals.
Oscar is survived by his children: Roger (June) Seals, James Keith Seals, and William Oscar Seals, his siblings: Molly Marie Todd, Mayme (Don) Brumfield, Preston (Gaye) Seals, Lorraine Lake and 5 grandchildren: Chris Seals, Brian Seals, Jenny Seals, Bridget Seals and Brandy Dunn, and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday Sept. 6, 2016 at the Middletown Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Miller officiating, burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday Sept. 5, 2016 from 6-9 pm at Lakes Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.lakesfuneralhome.com.
