Barbara Lynn Belcher (Platt)
Barbara Lynn Platt Belcher, 68, of Berea, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Saint Joseph Berea Hospital. She was born in Richmond on January 25, 1948 to the late Marshall Platt Jr. and Marjorie Highland Platt. She earned an Associate’s Degree from Eastern Kentucky University and had retired from Dresser Industries and Occupational Medical in Richmond. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Platt.
She is survived by her daughters, Jami Belcher of Berea, and Jimmi Lynn (Bill) Willett, of Burlington, KY; one sister, Marsha (Gene) Erwin, of Berea; four granddaughters: Brittany (Andrew Freeman) Belcher, Lauren Willett, Sydney Willett, and Morgan Willett; and one great-grandson, Blake Freeman.
Funeral services for Barbara Belcher will be held at Lakes Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Joey Kays officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
