Obituary for Vernon J Bowman

Vernon J  Bowman
Vernon J. Bowman age 62, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his home in Lexington.
Vernon was born in Berea, Kentucky to Esther Lamb Bowman and the late Arnold Bowman. He was a retired employee of LFUCG and an honorary member of the American Legion and VFW.
In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by his brother Jesse Bowman.
He is survived by his son Vernon Derick (Jessica) Bowman; his mother, Esther Bowman; his siblings, Mary (Leonard) Abrams, Helen Davidson, Carolyn Clark, Arlene (Frankie) Anderkin, Virginia (Kenneth) Carroll, Ronald (Sheila) Bowman and Michael (Wilhelmina) Bowman; one sister-in-law Evelyn Bowman; two grandchildren Derby Carter and Charlie Bowman and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with burial following in the Clark Cemetery in Jackson County. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-9 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Preston Bowman, David Flannery, Michael Carroll, Randy Anderkin, Aaron Bowman and Nathan Combs.
