Obituary for Fabra Lee Dees (Young)
Fabra Lee Dees, age 89, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond on Monday morning, May 29, 2017.
Fabra was born in Climax to the late John L. and Ella Mae Bowman Young. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Dees and one son, James Biggen Dees.
She is survived by eleven children, Wanda (Wayne) Isaacs, Lloyd (Donna) Dees, Anna (Jerry) Shelton, Eugene (Roxie) Dees, Viola “Shug” Gilbert, Johnny Dees, Joe (Lois) Dees, Robbie (Lisa) Dees, Billy Ray Dees, Mark Wayne Dees, and Luke Dees; one brother Ralph (Ann) Young; one sister Odella Powell; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2pm, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Clear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Owens and Rev. Billy Long officiating. Burial will follow on horse drawn carriage to Dees-Harding Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-9 pm at Clear Creek Baptist Church.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Isaacs, Tommy Dees, Mike Dees, Tiny Weaver, Robert Dees, Curtis Northern, Sam Dees, Logan Dees, Jeffery Dale Isaacs, Jerimiah Dees, Lloyd Dees Jr., and J. W. Croucher.
